Not picking Hillary shows that the Party is still a bit fractured and divided.
That said, I don't really know anything about Biden. Maybe he'll be a good choice after all. Maybe not. He certainly does answer the "experience" issues Obama has.
I know, I think Bill Clinton messed that up. If not for him, the ticket would have had Hilary on it right now. Bill Clinton started getting personal after Obama's Iowa win. And i think overall Bill Clinton cost his wife the presidency, he practically overshadowd her campaign. But i think Obama should have Hilary in his administration should he be elected.

She'd make a great Secretary of State, for sure.

If anything less, I'd like to see her as the Secretary of Health and Human Services. It would fit her main campaigning theme.

Biden is already on the attack, he killed MCcain in his speech today and i know he'll go at it some more. Now its good that Obama has another "old" man who is white to attack McCain because if Obama had done it, it would have turn the voters off. Biden is as old as McCain so its alright if he thump on him.

I, for one, am expecting to see Biden calling the McCain campaign on all the bullshit they've been spewing. Good that Obama picked a guy who isn't afraid to call a spade a spade.
I too am looking forward to more "a noun, a verb, and 9/11".

Haven't met one in today's canvass, they seem rare enough normally that the ones I do get tend to be at least a little crazy and unreasonable anyways.

I dunno if I mentioned this before but can I just quip that in response to Hillary's die hard supporters... if by the end of the convention they don't come to their senses they're not real Democrats. To sacrifice your beliefs and the sake of your country because you want to spite the person who bested her in competition is ridiculous and shows a weakness in morals and character that should literally be criminal. I can't describe how infuriating it is to hear about the 25% of her supporters who would vote for John McCain because she didn't get the nomination. The audacity of that supposition just sunders my hopes for humanity. They don't deserve to be called Democrats.

Same goes for the weak willed and feeble spirited Republicans who won't vote for John McCain because they wanted Huckabee.

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

Yeah, except this time it is a noun, a verb, and "but he was a POW".

And Joe Biden really ripped McCain a new one in his speech.

Clinton backers split over Biden as VP choice
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080824/...EHSHzSwfSpg9IF

Clinton issued a statement Saturday praising Obama's decision and calling Biden "an exceptionally strong, experienced leader and devoted public servant."

Some of her supporters were less charitable.

"It's a total diss to Sen. Clinton, in my opinion," said Diane Mantouvalos, co-founder of the Just Say No Deal Coalition. "It just speaks volumes about how Barack Obama doesn't stand for anything."
