Thread: Why is the Media, Presidential candidates and other politicians Denying This??

Man, I always heard about how Media was one giant propaganda machine that was used to sway the public's emotions. I never believed it until i saw the Georgia - Russia coverage. I'm much less disappointed about Barrack Obama who pictured himself as candidate of change but when this "war" happened, he joined everybody else and condemn Russia. That's when i said: "the hell with this election, i dont care, both of these candidates are worthless"

Most of who use other means to inform ourselves know that Georgia is the one who started the war by attacking South Ossetia in the middle of night, killing over a thousand defenseless people. That's when Russia intervened and helped the people of South Ossetia. But that's not what's being reported in the media, the media and all of our so called leaders are condemning Russia.

Well... if thats truly the case Russia is still wrong. Ya don't invade other countries. You don't see the Ethiopians invading Sudan because the peeps in Darfur lost their fucking minds...

This what you dont get, Russia wasn't trying to invade Georgia. Russia sent its army to defend the people of South Ossetia who were being massacred
by Georgian Army. That's why after repelling, the proceeded into Georgia to demorolized them from attacking South Ossetia again. And thats when Sacchavilis cried foul on Russia, and he was the one who started everything.

yet you dont see the Media reporting this fact. You dont see the media reporting that McCain received 900,000 dollars from Georgia.

Um. Dude. Who cares? Unless you're invited, youre invading. This is the one time something really is black and white. If a sovereign countries military enters a foreign sovereign state under orders... its called an invasion. No matter what the rationale is. Even if they went over to patronize some totally awesome hookers (and paid sales tax!) ...its an invasion. *giggles*

It's the best cliche ever; A big country stepping into a small country along with huge military system.
A good option for teh US media and government to be indignantly and morally concerned. Good to make sum points in their country after years of moral disasters. "Oh look, the old empire of evil is back, remember the good ol' times when we were not soo bad?"

Btw, shouldn't we connect this with teh georgia thread or is this thread another direction? Media, US foreign policy, etc...?

StealDragon, South Ossetia does not belong to Georgia. They havent belonged to Georgia since 1991 after the Soviet Union split.
