Beijing police have been visiting bar owners in the popular Sanlitun area and asking them to sign pledges agreeing to not serve black people or Mongolians and ban activities including dancing.

At first I thought it was satire but apparently not. So I did some googling. Turns out its from the South China Morning Post.

Honestly, this is the first time I've heard about this, and the only reaction would be that is most unfortunate. I don't see any reason for it, either.
This can't be for real, can it? And I'm sure the after international feedback gets to the matter, the ban will be lifted.

anyway back on topic, this is really bad. Exiling Tibetans from their own home, discriminating blacks and mongolians? What's next do they want to start a war and declare world domination? Really what narcissist government they have back in the mainland. They may show how truly great China(not Chinese) through the olympics, but they're rotten to the core inside. If they have so much hate for Mongolians, why don't they ban the Japanese and Russians as well.

On-topic: I guess they don't want any sexual realtionships between chinese and blacks and their resulting offspring... there was already the same experience before in communist countries in eastern-europe and soviet-russia during the cold war (Moscow Olympic Games 1980, World Festival of Youth and Students Eastern-Germany 1973), suddenly resulting with the birth of a lot of black kids in these countries... (no offense, steal)
