I'm simply the type of person that's also able to wear shorts outside in the winter if I felt like it (I normally don't though).
Meaning as long as I have a good jacket, I don't really mind the cold too much; the lower body doesn't get nearly as cold as the upper body.

Living in Northern California, I'm blessed with all four seasons of relatively mild weather. And because of this, I'm blessed with being able to wear many different fashions without going overboard because of the weather.
In the winter, I like to wear peacoats and my leather jacket over a button-up (striped, normally) on top of dark jeans. In the fall, I wear a turtleneck, or a light jacket or track jacket from American Eagle. Again, on top of dark jeans. Spring time can mirror fall's fashions, but I sometimes tend to go for brighter colors in the spring. Summer time means flip flops and graphic tees and polos and khaki/cargo/plaid shorts. This is what I call the "Hollister" phase. Dress for the beach.
I find that a pooka shell necklace goes well with just about any outfit. You can get away with not buttoning your shirt all the way by wearing a pooka shell necklace. It offsets your skin tone and makes your outfit look more complete, rather than making you look like a cheap bastard who doesn't wear a white t-shirt underneath. I've never been a fan of that, really. I prefer to wear wifebeaters under everything.
At any rate: dark jeans, preferably slim/straight or morrison fit are a must, though lighter colored distressed jeans are great, too.
Oh, sweaters/sweatervest over dress shirts are a must.
Look respectable and people take you seriously and treat you well.

Well I'm from socal, and I guess we have around the same weather patterns as you mojo. Normal all around. Hmmm I wear wesc, rvca, and cheap monday skinny denims. For the upperwear, I wear plain shirts, american apparel baseball Ts, and american apparel jackets and a wesc shirt haha. I'm not THE best at fashion, but i do like wearing cool stuff.

It's much hotter down south. You'd never be able to get away with wearing what I wear down there.

It really depends on the camo, the old US pattern looks cheap and clichéd, Flecktarn makes you look like a goth/tramp/binge drinking thug. DPM on the other hand, looks awesome.
