    Firefox 3.0 Record Download Attempt Crashes Mozilla Servers -- Firefox -- InformationWeek

    Mozilla encouraged users to host download parties so it could set a Guinness World Record for the number of downloads in one day. Currently, Guinness does not hold recorded information on the number of downloads in a single day.

    Nevertheless, Mozilla has generated plenty of excitement about the launch, with nearly 2 million people saying they would download the latest version. In fact, so many people tried to access the site that the servers appeared to crash.

    hehe, somehow I knew that was gonna happen. but, I installed it on my comp and nothing seems to have happened, hehe. I do like the new 3.0 so far, though.

    it seems that my firefox won&#180;t update xD -> Connection time-out
    but I&#180;ll try to dll/update it later or tmrrw....

    Downloaded it, installed it, together with Opera 9.5
    And still sticking with Opera.

    I used Opera for quite a while, in the gap between [End of Netscape] [Begin Firefox] and it was the best at that time. (first really working popup blocker ever)

    Atm Firefox is just unbeatable because OpenSource projects have this huge benefit.

    Well this is just the beta version, I believe. I'll switch when the first official version of f3 comes out.

    I switched of to FF from IE. However, this has given my 3 yr old laptop issues. I'll FF3 on my next one. (In ten years)
