Yeah, give T.V.'s back to the public, instead if cash or tax-breaks, after all the crap in this country. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it could be better.

Sounds to me like you need to buy a $59 5 year warranty to get the "free" tv. Box. Not TV, a box. Also called an ATSC tuner. And you can get an ATSC tuner for around $45. Seems like a rip-off to me. Especially since you can get a $40 voucher from the US government for ATSC tuners, by filling out a simple form.




Yeah, rip-off.

Edit: Maybe I should be clearer. It is a box called "Magic Clear TV." It is not a TV. It is a box that hooks to your current TV.

At least you guys don't have to pay £230~ a year for the right to watch 2 TV channels.

Its ok that we have public tv channels, and pay for them in general.
It think its 33euro/3months.

Its important for a state to have an indipendent media source.
I mean, I dont want to life in FOX-land where a broadcast channel decides who is going to win a presidental election.
