Idiosyncrasy is a psychological phrase (not only) meaning :
animosity, antipathy, aversion but can also be translated as bias, preconception or prejudice against someone. I would like to know how you deal with that kind of feeling in your daily environment (school, university or work) and if you analyse why you have aversion against others. I'm highly interested in psychological excursus...

It seems there are more former school bullies around ST than I had imagine...

I read through the thread and I didn't find anyone saying that they are a bully (except for Kiam)
Never met a bully before so I can't relate with everyone here. When I was in highschool everyone loves to play pranks and jokes at each other but it never went as far as bullying. :P

Hm, I was a bit of a bully in Junior High. I used to tease some of the "dorky" kids. Never really got physical, just verbal.

Then in my first two years of high school everybody had pubertized and I hadn't yet so I was bullied in the same manner :P

Damn you, karma!

Now everything's cool though and we're all friends. Yay, group hug.

First I've heard. An idiosyncrasy is a noun, for starters. You can't have an idiosyncrasy against someone else. That doesn't make any sense. You could be idiosyncratic in your prejudice, but the way you wrote it doesn't read right. And God knows why you use it all the time - it's kind of an ostentaious word.

Anyway, I had a kid in my school who used to wrangle food out of me from time to time. Stopped when he got sent to jail for breaking into some old woman's home and assaulting and robbing her.

Is it time for your story yet?

I wasn't very popular in canada in grade 6 (maybe since I felt a little alienated when I moved there). That changed when I left to the U.S. on grade 7 up.
