Teen sensation Miley Cyrus has issued an apology after Vanity Fair put a semi-naked photo of the star on its front cover, insisting she is "embarrassed" by the images. (Cover photo | Candid image slide show)

The 15-year-old posed for the Vanity Fair magazine shoot wearing nothing but a blanket wrapped around her chest.

But the pictures, taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, have caused outrage, just a week after candid snaps of the singer/actress posing provocatively in lingerie were leaked on the Internet.

A spokesman tells Us Weekly magazine, "Miley's parents and/or minders were on the set all day.

Another anorexic drugged out pop star in making? I think she's trying to compensate for Jamie Lynn's one-up a little while back.

What's wrong with posing with a blanket around her? She's not naked, after all... and I recognize that photographer's name; she's pretty famous. Nothing like porn. (She did that naked-pregnant-Demi Moore photo or something, right?) The picture itself actually looks pretty... well, artistic. Is Disney so concerned about parents thinking their little darlings will be corrupted by semi-naked bodies of people that they censor everything?

^I would see no problem with doing such things if she weren't a minor when she did this and if she wasn't exhibiting the signs of dysfuctional pop star syndrome in doing so. The fact that she's already doing such stuff at age 15 brings the prospects of becoming a dolt like her predecessors a very possible reality.

In all seriousness though, the photos weren't all that provocative. It's probably mainly because of her young age and her being a role model for younger kids that's got everyone in an uproar.

I fucking hate these prudish bitches. Seriously. Shes not a fucking child, shes not a fucking idiot, shes not a fucking slut. She took a tasteful artistic photograph in the presence of her family and friends and just because theres no bra strap mummifying her back then shes some racy teenage tramp pushing an agenda of whoredom on America's youth? I wish I had a fucking mom to choke right now... I'm so sick of this shit.

The picture might have been done tastefully, but personally I thought she looked/is fugly anyway.
