This happened in Austria, that's a country near Germany, not in Ireland. I just klicked on the first search hits @ google to get a somewhat useable article on it in english. They don't have death penalty there.
Apparently those 3 older children were registered as adopted by the man, as far as I understood it.

Sucks for the daughter, but even more so for the grandkids...
How about being 19 and having lived your entire life in a basement from the day you were born? And watching your mum get raped by her dad? Probably getting raped yourself too, on occasion, I'd imagine.
