.....never thought that the HPV could have such a drastic effect. It's good to see that modern medicine can help make this guy able to re-intergrate into society.

Oh yea, the Treeman, heard of it. I thought his DNA is mutated for having plant genoms - but these're jus warts. Somehow unfruitful...

The guy is old news, but its nice to see he's optimistic.

Gah yeah this is pretty much not new..

When I was back in Indonesia for my summer break, they made a lot of fuss about him on TV, how a lot of public hospitals denied his treatment coz his family doesn't have enough money. At that time, the government is promoting a "poor family card". This card is, in theory anyway, supposed to give access to free hospital treatments to poor families.

However, as is the case most of the time, it's not as easy as it should. Hospitals keep denying people treatment.

He was one of the case. And his condition was a lot worse back then (beginning of this year).

Only after a TV reporter found him and started interviewing him about how his life is and what attempts has been made to cure him.. he said "none".

Like a week later, the very hospital that rejected him, called him in for treatment -- since it's a pretty big hospital, and the coverage has pretty much soiled the hospital's name...

Looking at this situation makes me think of the manga Eden for some reason...
