Default Do you agree? To take it of the shelf?

Out of Fedora Core ,PCLinuxOS, Windows Vista (all of them). I personally like Windows XP professional a lot. Even though many people hate Windows because lack of security. I want to just say what sites have you been on? I think they should keep the OS on the shelfs.

windows vista is a piece of crap. it looks kinda nice, but sucks up too much resource - unless you're in the minority of people that likes to do heavy tweaking, Windows XP is stabler, safer, more compatible with various software, and does everything Vista can do.

the reason why microsoft is forcing vendors to ship with Vista - and start fazing out XP - is to force mass adoption of Vista. they need to continue to sell a new version of their OS since it's their golden egg.

Its not like a hate vista. Its I am stubborn to change. I know I did say I tried various OS's, but I always went back to XP because I felt comfortable with it.

    Vista icky. Windows XP yummy.

Besides I've been using it for like 782 years.

    TIME TRAVELING IMMORTAL!

On another note: If it wasn't for the fact I paid so much for a laptop that just happened to have vista, and it's the only computer I have with it on it...yeah, I'd replace it with Linux faster than you can say "Fedora."

    An apple?

    The air seems fun.

Out of Linux OS, I would prefer PCLinuxOS. What I don't get is that Microsoft will make money anyways by selling Windows XP and Vista so why take it off?
