    Well, if people become semi-vegitarians, or at least they'd cut down on the meat (once, twice a week is a healthy amount), then there would be a lot more plants which would feed lots of poor people. It's also worth mentioning that some countries, like Sudan, are very fertile, but they're not being used to their full extent.

    There's plenty of unused acreage in the US that could be utilized for the production of food crops. The trend though has been for farmers and ranchers to get out of the business, and there hasn't been a huge rush of eager city folks moving out of the suburbs to buy a farm out in the middle of nowhere and embrace farming as a career change.

    Seriously, I should've invested in food, I would be richbitch now... The numbers of wheat, sugar, flesh and milk grew stonger than oil, gold and euro in the last two years...
