Long story short, even though from that one post it may not have been obvious, I was on the same side of the argument. Politeness doesn't necessarily make this world any better, but it does make those little moments, wherein courtesy is shown, alleviate that innate tension everyone has about everyone else; thus, as I've said throughout this thread, I'm the type that will stand by a door unusually long just to avoid having it shut in someone's face.
