The more I see Chinese faces that aren't hand-selected by the media, the more I'm starting to understand why my "Whiteness" has been called into question by those of the less flat-faced, dark haired variety.

QFT, its like asking somebody to change their religion forcefully. In order to know what really happening, YOU should be the ONE being there, feel, see taste, hear what happen by YOURSELF. Media is media. I lost my trust in media long time ago.

Unfortunately, we are hypocrites. I wonder why is that

If Tibet gets independence, what will they do? What's to stop India from invading? How will they govern themselves? What kind of economy will they have, if any?
Tibet did just fine as an independent country for... hmmm a couple hundred years. They didn't care about the economy and never have, in fact encouraging an economy with them is much like telling them to sin by telling them to put more value on material things. That said... what the hell can the chinese do? Theres no basis for an economy in Tibet, theres not many people, theres not open land, theres nothing valuable in tibet except as a gateway to other countries.

This statement and the following conversation about freedom and shit is completely stupid and unnecessary.

don't look at one side,ok.. It,s Western propaganda..
Thats hilarious. Is that why the 14th Dalai Lama fled in exile to the U.S. in 1959?

Is that why the PRC (People's Republic of China) despite saying they hold a secular stance has claimed the power to approve the naming of high reincarnations in Tibet? Not the Tibetans or the Buddhists, lord no, the government gets to choose who their high priests are.

Or why the current children believed to be the new Panchen and Dalai Lama's were taken into 'protective custody' by the Chinese as soon as they were named?

Yeah I can tell its all Western 'propoganda'. Retards.

Times have changed. You can't possibly expect them to continue living in 18th century times.

Actually, I can, isolated countries with no interest in change or outside interests or potential economic opportunities get ignored quite well. (Hello mid african countries...) In fact they've been that way since before mid 18th century times...

But it would be located next to two of the world's fastest growing countries, India and China, isolation would be impossible.

... Do you not know your history Mojo?

India and China have been some of the largest countries in the world throughout history in terms of population, thats a stupid statement, and they've been growing - almost on par -with the west throughout history. Half the time -with- western influence.

Does the Persian Empire ring a bell? You know? The Magadha Empire? Maybe some of the Islamic Sultanates? No?
Maybe a date like 221 BC? You know, when the Chinese unified and they crowned an Emperor and standardized much of China's language? Any of the Chinese Dynasties? Maybe?

They didn't need to mess with Tibet then, its stupid to say Tibet 'has' to be involved with them now. As stated before... theres nothing there. Except as a gateway to other countries or that they took it because they -could- take it and for no other reason.

The U.S. is the most powerful and largest economy in the world... are you telling me that means Mexico can't help but become a world power? Oh lets see... No.
