View Poll Results: Would you like to live forever, with everlasting youth?

Obviously this thread is completely hypothetical, but if someone were to offer you everlasting life, would you accept?
(This thread was inspired by part after watching Stardust. The answer the main character gave there was completely fluffy, but that's irrelevant here.)
Not unless it came with everlasting youth.
PS. I loved Stardust.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

^ It wouldn't make much sense otherwise, you can't really "age" past a certain point.
I would vote by the way.
no i would rather die, you get bored anyway, if nothing can kill you do you still fell pain?
By someone you mean the Devil?

But the reason that I say no, is I don't wanna see the people around me die. Its hard enough to actually have to bury your parents at some point in life, but all your friends, kids, grandkids, everybody around you is gettin old, dying and all there is left is you, alone. Its more like a curse then a gift. Unless you're actually happy living alone, or have no feeling for the people around, I see no reason to why anybody should say yes.
would you live forever, alone ? Or would there be other people too ?
Since this was brought on by Stardust...
You'll be forever stuck at whatever age you are when you take the magic potion. But of course, anyone else who didn't take the potion would still be aging normally.
@Raz: you basically summed up my thoughts on this matter.
p.s. Steal, the book was better than the movie.
as raszagal pointed out, i wouldn't want to live forever and see all my friends die.
It would be interesting to see where this world is going to. you can't get bored of this. As for deaths of all around you.....I guess one can get detached after some time. ..becoming a bit .."more than human".
But I'd think I'd say "no". Don't think I'd be strong enough to just observe and not take eventually part in 'the natural cycle of life'.
And then come other problems. Like other people noticing that you do not age and stuff. That means that even f you do just want to 'live' peacefully, you will be seen as a monster by many others. The Picture of Dorian Gray illustrates it quite nicely.

So the reason for accepting and rejecting the offer is basically the same?
