He seriously didn't need to go that far, especially to a 17 year old kid but still it looked pretty friggin' cool.

ouch ouch ouch :/
None of that looks even the slightest "cool."
From what I read, the guy in the black was not playing by the rules.
He attacked the student because he was going to win against his (the professor's/the beater's) student...

Henchy, that does mean you can kick someone in the face. Ever.
I love how he discreetly tried to walk away after the second kick. Like "nobody saw this, he just fell"
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

How did the guy in black not play after the rules? If he tried a head lock while breaking his the other guy's teeth, then sure, but from what I could see he didn't do anything to deserve those kick.
The teacher should know better then this, its like giving a gun permit to a psycho.
None of that would have happened if he had known Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and JKD.
Tsk tsk tsk.
Here's what I understand from reading the few English comments and from researching on Google.
The guy wearing blue hit the guy wearing white with a full on heavy punch to the face. Karate tournament rules state that you're not supposed to make excessive contact, and any attack which causes visible injury to the head or neck area is prohibited (your punches are allowed to touch the opponent's face, but you're not supposed to make a solid impact). The guy wearing white hit back out of anger then turned and walked away, which is when the guy wearing blue started rushing and punching him. The referee was also the trainer of the guy wearing white, he rushed in and beat down the guy wearing blue out of anger at his disrespect for the rules and his opponent.
That's still no excuse for such excessive force on an adolescent, but hopefully this will make you look at the video from a less biased perspective.
