Physical ;I would wear my leather jacket, form fitting jeans, boots and sneakers, and a zip up sweater. Also, I would have on all of my hockey gear.

Are your muscles fast twitch or slow twitch?; Both, I am a dancer.
Are you intrisically aware of the dimensions of your body, with good coordination?;
Dancer.
Is your flexibility high?;Dancer

Are you mechanically inclined?; See above, I can change a tire and brakes.
A woodsman?; I have camped. However, I don't think I am that good(I can start a fire).
Can you design and build structures with enough manpower and materials?
etc. ; No

Do you know the layout of your city, surrounding areas, how to rapidly barricade a given amount of area, etc.;Hell yeah.
My plan;I would go through my supplies at home first. and then a the first thing p in the moring head to the police station. With an empty backpack. Once I get there, Pick a vest, guns and gas mask. Next, I get over to the drug shore and take water, cans of tuna and power bars. Third place, I'd hit is the hardware store, with a hammer and flat head screwdriver, you can steal a car. I grab a German car.
In the car, I make my way to Police one plaza. There, they should have a plan for this type of thing.

Are you intrisically aware of the dimensions of your body, with good coordination?; Sometimes co-ordinated, a massive klutz when tired.
Is your flexibility high?; nope, but I have good balance...
Skills; only useful ones are being able to use a bat and throw things...
Can you pick locks?; No.
Are you handy with firearms, know the difference between bullets and shells, can disassemble and clean a firearm, etc.; nope

Are you mechanically inclined?; no, but I learn fast >_>
A woodsman?; nope, but I can learn fast.
Can you design and build structures with enough manpower and materials?
etc. ; potentially, probably not.
Knowledge ; ... I'd hook up with a group of people

My plan;I would try to hook up with a group of people and work together with them, if I couldn't I'd likely die within a day. ^_^ Once with people, probably fortify and hide someplace that's distant enough from the center of things but close to possible food and water supply. I'd also try to hit up stores for water purification systems, canned foods, see what medicines I could get, bandages, rubbing alcohol etc. I'd probably try to get a radio, and solar cells. Also, hammer, nails, building supplies, books and references if possible, especially ones on survival and illness.
Though, potentially, I could take a boat out and hide on a little island... or head upstream.. I could always run. I might survive a little longer that way... That would require gas for a bit anyhow, I'd have to row after the gas ran out.
oh, I'd grab tarps, and rope...
If you live ANYWHERE near other people then I'm sorry to burst your bubbles but all of your infected neighbours are already swarming outside your front door. Your home town isn't going to be deserted like in I Am Legend, so your best bet (and mine) is to barricade your front door, hope you have a nuclear bunker with 20 years worth of food in your basement, and pass the time by watching pornos.
Sorry if I'm being too realistic.![]()
Well who's to say the that they aren't all dead. Ishman said its goal was to destroy the population not replace it.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

Serious question here:
Am I the only one that prefers "Romero Zombies," Hell, even actual dead people over "Rage Virus Zombies?" Something about them being categorized as the same thing kind of bugs me.
Below Average/Average on most physical skills. Same with mechanical.
Lucky for me I have a gun store within 3 blocks of my house. And across from that is a furniture store. I think I'd head to a convenience store. For water/snacks barricade myself in the gun store and then wait things out. There's a supermarket within a couple blocks of that so if I had a bike or car I'd just take that make a supply run and get back as quick as possible.
I've been thinking about this for the past day, and I've come to the conclusion that physical attributes and familiarity with weapons aren't quite as important as the movies and books would like you to believe. If the virus was widespread, zombies would outnumber regular humans by AT LEAST 100 to 1. So if you find yourself getting into an actual gunfight...you're probably royally screwed anyways. Besides, in fiction the protagonists are always looking for someone/something, so they have to be constantly on the move. However, if you're merely trying to survive, you wouldn't have to move around at all, if you find a defendable location.
So far, highrise building seems like the best bet, if you can be sure the floor you're on is free of the undead.
I think if an actual "zombie infestation" came down, the type of zombies found in 28 Days Later would be the most accurate. And if one were infected with a virus that rendered them immune to reason and feeling, they certainly wouldn't be shuffling around eating brains.
They wouldn't be able to survive longer than a month without food and water, as they'd lack the intelligence to procure it.Originally Posted by MadDogMike

I totally agree, and so does Romero considering that his zombies aren't the ones that specifically eat brains. They're the reanimated corpses that require a brain to function and little else. They're slow moving, physically weaker than an average adult male, and don't show any emotional reactions to most anything.
NOTE: I'm not saying these are realistic, they aren't realistic for a very good reason - Romero zombies have no scientific explaination and do not require a heart or stomache to survive. I'm just asking if I'm the only one that prefers seeing these types in stories rather than living, breathing humans with rage issues.
