I know these threads are over done, and I'm in Canada, but it was rather sickening how easy it was for him to get a gun.

Do you need to start bringing guns to school to protect yourselves now? As many people that say that letting everyone having guns prevents crimes... bringing them to class?

I just don't know, sounds personal from that article.

Anyhow, opinions? Gun opinions? Does anyone else get tired of all this?

Well, I hope that your new president (Obama?) will have a way of dealing with all the guns that are circulating the country, even in the hands of civiliens who have no need of a gun. Even though it's their right....

Clinton at least was able to take them their automatic guns away, but Bush gave them back..

apparently, "the right to bear arms" was put in place by because of an impending british invasion, a threat that never fully materialized. i'm not sure how accurate this information is though, can someone confirm ?

i don't have solid statistics, but intuitively, less restrictions on gun ownership = more guns on the streets = more chance of someone accidentally/purposely getting shot.
