    Summary?

I've just read the wiki and his ID book seems full of shit (the case for a creator), why are these better exactly?

That Stephen Colbert book. I picked it up when it was on sale in the US (and I was on vacation) and damn, is it ever funny. At first I couldn't tell if he was serious or not, though...

    (Apparently, he isn't. xD)

Oh, and The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, which I just adore for some reason.

Finally, if you like comedy, know about American politics (and pundits in particular), and aren't Republican (note: this doesn't mean you can't hold right-wing views), read Al Franken's material (I liked Lies [etc. it's a long title] personally). It's funny~

From Front Porch to Back Seat: Courtship in Twentieth-Century America by Beth L. Bailey, this is a great book on how dating has evolved in the past 100 years.

Also, I'm going to do a paper on Courtships and power in relationships. I was wondering if any of you know where I can find more books based on that subject. In the States specifically.

Read "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" by Tucker Max... omg this shit is insane.

Tell me about it, I just finished the entire book in like... 3 hours. I was fucking devouring it. I must say I do feel a bit weird about women suddenly.

Tucker Max is a self centered, egotistic, melodramatic... bastard. That's what makes him so interesting! he doesn't give a shit. That and he seems to have a way with women even though he treats them like shit which actually makes a lot of sense in the way women treat themselves most of the time.
