Avant Browser is the best I have used...and I use them all for testing web apps (Firefox, Seamonkey, Crazy Browser, IE, Safari, Opera, and even old Mozilla)> Seamonkey would be my second favorite...Firefox is great but gets too bloated with add-ins.

Netscape Navigator was the superior browser for the longest time. IE won simply because it was included with the operating system nothing more.

that might've contributed, yes, but that's not the main reason. i mean, windows media player is included in windows, but a lot of people - perhaps even majority - use win amp.

^I use media player classic. Microsoft dearly loves to take anything small and simple which works...and then feature bloat the hell out of it.

    Thank god!
IE6- is also near the end of the road! (They are even offering upgrade from 6 to 7 to pirate versions of windows) and IE8 is on the over.

I do love Opera since its full hapiness with my webpages.... then you gotta make it work on IE/firefox for the rest of population, as both have crap css support.

For firefox being "the browser" is just as the same iPod being "the mp3 player". just some trend that came overnight.

iPod was never 'the mp3' player. It's just the mp3 that people who don't know better use. The sound quality of the actual players are so sh1t.

iPod has great user interface, sleek design, durable construction, decent sound, good storage. What's not to like? It's easily better than all the mp3 players out there.

firefox for me. netscape just seemed a little...off. IE is seriously not nearly as good, firefox has a much simpler yet better look and style.

okay, that's your opinion and i have mine. I still stand by my opinion that iPod's sound is sub-par, design while progressively getting better still resembles a brick, it's also costly compared to mp3s of similar type, doesn't have build in voice recorders or FM radio option.
