Netscape was kind of cool but then it wasn't getting any better - no wonder it died.

Kind of pity, there was always another rival which was pushing mozzila, opera and IE to get better.

It crashes and freezes very often for me for some reason.

Firefox 3 is better anyways. Safari is just weird.

really ? opera is the fastest loading browser for me, out of the 3. but it feels a bit too weird for me to use regularly.

Firefox 3 doesn't have the one thing that Firefox has going for it (well as of now anyway).

    Extensions.

ditto, tabs are awesome and every time i go on the net, i'd be using them. internet explorer tried to copy the idea, but their tab arrangement looks ugly and unintuitive. then again, microsoft isn't about to put too much effort into internet browsers, since the internet is an enemy to its desktop software monopoly - windows isn't required for developing internet applications.

I dont think opera is more awesome. It's too system heavy and uncustomizable (at least it was the last time I played around with it.)

Firefox is much more prevalent in Europe than the US. I think it's got 50% market share in a lot of the Scandinavian countries.
