I'd say that sport may be one of the oldest one's known to man and insect alike.

That was pretty much my guess. It's sad when a beetle is more of a samurai than a scorpion. ... And I was all ready to go "FINISH HIM!" Why God? (and various more delicious, and tentacle covered deities) Why?!
