Its possible to clear your mind, but even if you do so, you are still subconciously thinking.

Stopping thinking happens quite often i think if only for a very short amount of time, as in between thoughts, but right after waking when i'm sleepy it seems that i'm not thinking of anything or it's just an illusion because i forget it. But also after sports when i've finished doing something there is a blank period, when i've stopped thinking about breathing and moving.

    What is this thinking??

    >_< Seriously, my mind has periods where it won't shut up but most of my thinking is almost completely subconcious. Having a so-called blank mind is not an uncommon state for me *shrugs* You don't always have to be constantly thinking in order to learn or know things...

in otherwords, no, I don't think... not often

as in completely stop thinking? that's pretty much impossible seeing as your mind also controls your organs and if you stop thinking subconsciously you pretty much die. or is it just conscious thought? in which i can do that well, i just have to stop moving and breathing for it to induce it to myself.

In the moment you dont think anymore, you gain all the reflexes that your body is able to do.
I dont know who of you is into martial arts, but in states of "not thinking" your practically invincible. Same goes for everything where you have to react very very fast.

The biggest problem is that in the moment you think that you are not thinking, you leave this state because you started to think.

I gave it up to try to reach such state by force... I think its impossible, or needs extraordinary training which I'm not able to do.

In primary school I also thought it can't be possible not to think. So I always tried to do it on my way home and now I'm able to do it whenever I want and actually my mind is blank most of the time now. (and no, I'm male )
You just need to try it a lot, then it's possible to do it, but well, I don't know if it's actually a good thing to let your subconsciousness do most of the thinking. I just know that thoughts have to be thought by the consciousness to be remembered.
You're reflexes don't get any better when you don't think, my reflexes are only fast if I know what I have to do when a certain event happens and if I've done it multiple times already, which isn't any better than normal reflex training, isn't it?

Yeah, my reflexes aren't good from lack of thought, acutally usually they're terrible. I do have trained reflexes that are very good though, it seems as if it's from a lack of thought (or time to think in that case) but it's actually the trained instinct. That's what the lack of thought allows you to do, follow learned procedures without question nd thus faster.

    Right.
You just do it, no question or thinking about "how to do it".

I experienced that I became faster in this non-thinking state. Just as a maschine.
