TATA (i think) -- India's automobiles
Sorry, I don't have a web link for this.
Basically:
-India made a new car, costs $2500
-means cars are now affordable to millions more people in china and india
-massively raises the demand for gasoil around the world
-disrupts existing flow of oil around the world
-depletes oil reserves at a much faster rate than present
-disaster
Again, one man's opinion.
But consider:
The president of TOTAL, the major French petrochemical company, believes that the world is currently at it's peak oil production (89M barrels a year). And that doesn't bode well.
