Useful. If it was useless but expensive, then it would end up in some corner of my home never to be touched again. The other 2 choices are alright though.

Useful. My grandmother last year got me a sweater that I wear every chance I get. Useful. Dad got me American Express Gift Cheques. Useful.

Eh, I guess I'm a bit of a child I prefer amusing gifts... it doesn't have to be useful, thoughtful is usually good but really amusing is the best...
like the remote control hockey players my bro's got one Christmas, the fun we had watching my father and grandfather take over the remotes and play hockey on these cheap little things that only turned one way... That was amazing..
or some weird and random cow racing video game and watching my grandfather laugh and laugh (and laughing myself quite a bit).
And some random things are good fun too ^^
Also I would put say movies or books in this catagory, not exactly useful but usually amusing or good fun ^^
