Thread: If you had the opportunity...

... to escape from prison would you do it? I'm bored and I think this would make an interesting moral discussion. You've got a long time left on your sentence and a rudimentary idea of how you could possibly get out and a plan is coming together nicely. If you would, would you take others along with you? Would you go back to your family when you left? What scenarios would you prepare for?

I'd only escape if I were falsely imprisoned. Otherwise, I'd just let justice take its course.

If I was stuck in there for multiple life sentences. I would be come the craziest mofo there. I would just kill and kill. What are you going to do to me?

as for SD's question, I wouldnt know unless i was thrown into that position.

If I knew that there would probably be 0% chance of a fair trial and the appeals would fail so I would probably be found guilty....

I think I might actually escape.

I don't think I'd be good at it. I'm a paranoid freak. I would live a life of me always looking behind my back.

Though, personally... I think I've watched enough movies to learn how to make a new identity/lifestyle out for myself.

Didn't it recently happen that 2 convicts escaped a prison?

Well if I was falsely imprisoned and whatnot, yea I'd do it.

But if I'd actually committed a crime...I'd probably still do it, if I know I'm going to get away with it.

If was sentenced to death or life, then yes. I don't wanna rot away in some prison, eating the same food and walking the same walk for the rest of my life, waiting to be executed or dying a natural death in my little cell.

Sure, the sociaty demands that I pay for the sins that I've done, but its notnlike life could be any worse for me, if I wes sentenced to death/life =/

But it would also depend on what I've done, if I had robbed some banks or stolen some goverment info telling who the real JFK murder was, Then I wouldn't have any problems with me escaping.

Sure, why not. If I had the opportunity to do so, then I'd rather show the prison about it (by escaping) then have someone more dangerous leave.

I would get my ass out of prison as fast as possible, if I wouldnt come out of prison forever/long time.

In Germany there is no law that you arent allowed to escape from prison, dont know in other countries though. I think there is no law because no one manages to escapes around here, so its not necessary.
