I love how they sit and spend paragraphs defining and explaining 1337. XD I bet that will will language of the year or something considering how fast its growing.

This is stupid imo.
W00t isnt so much used. Words like 1337, noob, etc are legendary and not even mentioned. How is that possible?

I guess, just some random noobs heard about teh internetz and though it could be fun to let the intardnet geeks vote for a word.
And heres what we get, great.

Its not even respect for gamers that they make a gaming word "word of the year". In my opinion its just making fun of gamers by people who just are these myspace, youtube, whatever guys who dont have anything to do with the real internet, rather than their fake, everyones happy and social-network-crap thing.


Besides, the german word of the year is:
Klimakatastrophe -> climate crisis

Imo this is quite a better word. Ok in the US you dont have a problem with the climate, just because there is no fucking problem with the climate.

So drive big cars, polute the air, dont do anything that could harm your todays economy in ANY way, and w00t your life or yourself or whatever.

n00b is far more common then w00t.. but I don't think they would say that

There is one important difference. L337 is plain silly. N00b is negative. W00t is an awesome word. And don't get my started on using LOL as a verb. Every time I see it a little part of me dies.

Edit: What I mean is, to lol is okay since the verb is laugh, but loled? That would be like saying "I laugh out louded"!

It might not even count though since it's an akronym and not a made up word. Otherwise WTF should have won ^^
