Thread: Quickie American intelligence test.

I'm reading a book for class and I found this question interesting.

No googling.

Here's the question:

1) Can you identify Rosa Park?
2) Do you know the author of the words "government of the people, by the people, and for the people?

Why I ask this?
In a 1990's poll, 90% of IVY League students could identify Rosa Parks, but only 25% knew the author of those words.

Be honest.

PLEASE don't be a jerk and post the answer for either.

Oh, and you can google it AFTER you think what you would say to see if you're right or not.

I would have missed 2, but I just read it in my AP Govt class recently. Why are you calling this an intelligence test O.o?

After I searched who Rosa Park was, it was quite obvious those questions were related to American people (or really well-cultured non-American people).

Anyway, that's cheating; I bet if I ask if you know who said "Give me a balcony and I will become President" most of you won't know who I'm talking about. Boo cpr, boo!

How about: "Swedes we are no longer. Russians we do not wish to become. Let us therefore be Finns."

Anyway Dante is right. To get a fair answer you shouldn't ask non-americans because it will give you more negative answers than you would get by asking only americans.
