    Default Is George W. Bush the worst president in 100 years?

    I was having a check-up (I have good cholesterol levels ^__^) and I came upon this article in Macleans magazine.

    Yeah, it's a last years article but it was an interesting read. I would like to hear everyone's opinions on it (especially the Americans) since I have limited knowledge in American politics/history. I also added a poll just to see whether people where people stand.

    Since he's not my president I cant really say, since I don't watch when he speaks to the nation, or since I can't read about his actions, politics etc. But I do know alot of people hate him, american and foreign alike.

    But damn..I do think him as the most retarded president of US that I know off.. Don't know if he's the worst. But I'll vote maybe.

    I can't honestly give an opinion since I've only been alive for 20 of the last 100 years. I know he has the lowest approval rating in American history... =\

    And exactly thats the problem.
    You maybe noticed the little anti-americanism, no?

    The first time he got elected, you can let it pass as a "fault" or even as a "cheat"... but the second time? Its like, what the hell...?!

    I would count him as the worst leader of a state, of the modern (western) nations, in the last 100years.

    well, we gotta remember what type of time period we're living in.

    I mean... early 1900s... there were no TVs, internet, other fast-based media news.

    TVs didn't really get popular till 1960s. Until then, there really wasn't a lot of the bashing we have now a-days. But then, once TVs hit the market and people had faces to associate candidates with, heck people started choosing for stupid reasons like "he looks healthier" or "he looks cleaner/better."

    There also wasn't a lot of bashing in the past. It's actually a recent phenomenon that commercial advertisers have learned "It is harder to make someone switch from Republicans to Democrat or vice versa. It is easier to bash the other opponent in the hopes that the potential voter for the opposite party will choose not to vote." I learned that from a history video. >_<;;
