    Default Whats your ETHNICITY?

    Okay...there was the whats your nationality thread so why not whats your ethnicty? and also...some people got comfused with nationality and ethnicty(and i'll admit even i got confused myself><(hehe...the thread starter got confused lol)
    to clear things up a bit: ethnicity is where your family originate from and nationality is where you live (legally)
    it would also be interesting to see if you can speak, write & read the language of your ethnicty...
    my ethnicity is vietnamese...i can speak it(kinda...vietnamese is REALLY hard to speak because there are like 7 different tones for ONE vowel)...hehe i speak it kinda "slang" wise and try not to botehr with the tones...
    cant really read or write except simple words and phrases..

    well, my moms side is Italian, and my dads side is Russian and Polish. I can speak none of the languages. I speak english, spanish, and a little bit of hebrew.

    I really doubt you speak Spanish.
    To me "speaking" means you're fluent. I really doubt you're fluent in Spanish, not just a few phrases.

    I have four years of French immersion, but I don't consider myself able to "speak" French as to the fact that I'm not fluent.
    And especially for someone your age and background (which you just supplied), there is little chance that you are fluent in Spanish.

    Es muy dificil porque yo es muy estupido.

    Yea... 3 years of Spanish under my belt. 2 years of Japanese right now. NO WAY am I fluent in either.

    Though.. I have a friend who is fluent in English, Japanese, Portuguese, and I think French as well. Yea.. he's traveled a lot in his life....
