I personally find that averaging more than 1 grammar mistake per sentence is where it gets a bit annoying. Once it is excessive (4~5 per sentence or more) I feel like killing the person who wrote it.

Though using kirbies, "...", or lol/brb, basically things that anyone can read without struggling, or feeling the need to rip their eyes out, and are not done to shorten time but because it is fun to add those on are okay.

    1337 5p34k is mildly annoying.

    |_||}3|2 |33+ $|*3@|< is just as bad as excessive grammar errors.

Oh. I didn't add 1337 talk cause that's not something the average e-mailer would talk in.

And, I didn't add talking in binary. [ex: 000001 001000 100010] Again, it's not something the average e-mailer would talk in.

Though, in my opinion, both are EXTREMELY annoying.

One of my teachers in the 11th grade made us send him e-mails using binary. I failed...

I fail to see the reason why a teacher would make you do something so useless...

So long as there is google, binary is just 5 seconds away from being in regular english

So, how do you like to convey different types of emotions via the internet then?

Like for me, I type normal grammar when I'm in a deep conversation (usually for debates, bashing).

or i type like this when i'm being lazy and informal.

or I type like "ZOMG! NO WAI!" to show sarcasm.

or i like to add a "z" to the end of wordz cause i find it cute.

or i add smiley's to ends of sentences to reinstate an emotion. Often I tend to overplay

Actually, I think the better question is (and this is for everyone and not only Jyuu) "What's your typing style on the Internet and is there a way to tell from your writing versus another person's?"

I don't strive to make the way I type be spectacularly unique or flashy. It is probably because I am a very straightforward person.

If I can easily read what someone wrote I'm not usually that picky about the grammer.

One item not listed in the poll that can be annoying is when someone uses hard to read colored text in their message.

I do not have any typing style either. I try to be as coherent, and cohesive as possible in order for my message to be clear (which is bound to have mistakes, since English is not my native language). If I think people may think I'm annoyed (which may happen if my message is far too serious, or is part of a heated discussion) I may add one or two smileys. All the same, if I am not discussing, and just posting to say something fun, or to tease someone, then I'll be informal.
