    Default Dad Of All Bombs

    http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe...?eref=ib_world

"While the U.S. bomb is equivalent to 11 tons of TNT, the Russian one is equivalent to 44 tons of regular explosives. The Russian weapon's blast radius is 990 feet, twice as big as that of the U.S. design..."

Looks like a conventional arms race is brewing over who can build the most destructive non-nuclear bomb. Other than on battlefields or against hardened targets which are away from populated cities, I can't think of much use for these things.

"Unlike a nuclear weapon, the bomb doesn't hurt the environment, he added."
    Yeah.... :P

@deuce : there is the e-penis for the internet, and this is the equivalent in real world politics.

Problem for them is, with their outdated planes, and crews that haven't had regular training in 16 years, they have a serious case of erectile dysfunction, and all the world powers know it.

Actually, the environment thing is important - yeah, laugh if you want, but Czarnobyl's nuclear explosion made that land unusable for many years..and it still isn't.

And come on - explosions is the base of basics of most things in our lives - the oxygen burning stuff. We live because we can burn the oxygen and get energy from that. Our cars moves because of controlled mini-explosions in engines which moves this metal box. If we can create a way to increase the energy from explosions (like we did in nuclear plants), new ways and new machines can be created.

I think most reactions are just like that because it's Russians who did it....

On another note, to be completely off topic, since the cocksuckers in the English speaking world won't translate the Witcher series into English, even though I want to buy it, I can't.

Wanna take one for the team and translate it for us? =3

    [edit] Novels

The Blood of the Elves series proper consists of the five novels about Geralt, in which Sapkowski links together the plotlines begun in the short stories, and adds new ones. Apart from Geralt himself, another central character is Princess Ciri. Their story is set against the background of the struggle of the Northern Kingdoms against the Nilfgaard Empire.

I had known that that book was translated, but also that it was second. Does that mean that the second book is the first chronologically?
