couldnt we potentially just stay the same....

the reason being is because superior beings or say super humans with all the power and knowledge could just control our lives. Regulate us and just use us to their needs.

Well..we only gonna change if we need to..thats what evolution is a part off..
But..we're probaly gonna kill ourselves first with nukes and alien attacks before we develop any kind of mental abilities or something...we havent changed much in the last million years..we dont have so much hair, and not so big a forehead (besides the level of intelligence, even though the abemens brains where bigger)

I bet in a couple thousand years (if we even last that long), kids in school will only have to think the words, and writing will appear across the page.
They'll say 'Gosh, in the year 2007, they still had to WRITE with PENS... imagine that, you'd actually have to move your hand!'

I cant even imagine the time where tv was black and white and the internet was something people didn't think was going to be THAT big...pff

I suck at guessing games, though my guess would be similar to Adonai's. I think transistasis (as a result of us being able to manipulate our environments any way we want) is a serious threat to any serious evolution. The advent of medicine will cause overpopulation (along with you know, a ton of sex) and more and more problems (including growing weaker).

Good guess..There is no reason for the mankind growing any stronger, we have no enemies..and since we are getting more and more, fatter, and got machines to do most of the work..well..the future wont bea pretty sight..well, the present isn't that great either.

Agreed and agreed...

Although I really doubt we'll have much of a future, like a bunch of you said I'm pretty sure we'll have succeeded in killing ourselves off before we have any major changes and if we do I'm sure it will be negative...

On the other hand the only way I see us having a negative out come in the future is if we become so reliant on technology that when a simple electrical malfunction (provided that's what we run on...) causes major death and panic. Other than that I just see us stayin' the same...

Oh and "Idiocracy" was kinda funny...
