Thread: High School Musical 2

So, I know I should put this in the tv/movies section...

but I kinda want more opinions so I'm plopping this here.

So.. who saw it & are you crazy about it?

For some strange reason that I cannot understand yet... High school Musical is a MAJOR thing and EVERYONE LOVES all of it. No matter how cheezy and predicable it is, people are going gaga for it. >_<

Personally....

I like to make fun of the movie. I think they're cheezy.

The moral of the 2nd movie is....

"Don't think about the future! Scholarships/college/future education are overrated. Promotions are even worse. Procrastinate now and just have fun everyday." =P

It's pretty retarded but it's on the Disney Channel so you can't expect that much from them...

I have not seen it, but regarding your morale. I agree in part, people obsess with such things too much and burn themselves out. While they are important people shouldn't ruin their childhood just to have a good future that they might not even want. Honestly I doubt I would ever a get a scholarship because of the fact that I have never made a real attempt at doing well in school, I mean sure I am on the honor role, but barely.

My sister saw, and I kinda have to second hand watch it. (computer on same room of the big tv...)

I hate musicals.. really, and ANYTHING on disney channel (but Ashley), I glanced alot there because of my cake Ashley Tisdale.

One thing that struck me, was when the dude got the better job then his friend, and his friend got all jelous, that pissed me off..
(I didn't see much after was thinking on the mafia game and drawing stick mens on my table representing everyone.)

In the end, did he quit?

I saw that he sang with the other girl there.. but the messages they give like you said are just weird..

"if your best friend have a better job, throw friendship so you both can work makin' french fries at McDonalds"

Yea, in the end he quits his high $500 weekly salary Assistant Golf Teacher job in order to be a bum like his friends and work as a waiter/dish washer. Cause apparently that's the only way his friends would accept him as friends again.

After the last few posts I have to agree that sounds retarded, not that I didn't think the movie would be. I would think a friend would be happy for his friend to do well not bring him down. >.>

The movie was corny. The first one was okay, but this one was so weird. It was all just random and stuff. The romance was cheesy beyond belief and stuff. Disliked this one a lot. The first one was watchable, but this one was so stupid.

On another note I read in the newspaper that number 3 is going to be a feature length film.

Anyway I think the morale was more like be a kid now, you have your whole life to be an adult. Also the guy wasn't jealous imo, but more like angry that the other guy was getting breaks just because the girl with blond hair liked him.
