ps : if the westerners didn't consume that much resources "mother earth" wouldn't be tired, but I agree it is easier to tell poorer countries to stop developping and making too much children so we can have it easy for a longer time :P

^But the population densities in India and China are so much higher than the Western countries. Even though the West expends a lot more than these countries, they don't really have population issues (if any, they have underpopulation issues). But the effects of overpopulation can be felt there.

err... the population density is almost twice higher in UK or germany than in china, and India is equivalent to belgium. Of course there are way more uninhabitable regions in China or India (especially China) which lowers the densities, but you cannot say that their densities are "so much higher than the western countries"

^I guess you're right. I just looked at a density map. I was considering USA in the whole Western culture bit (actually, I was thinking of it primarily for some reason...which is a pretty stupid once I realized it), which is way less dense.
