as I said it depends on your country... in France we had the right to make private copies before, and as our RIAA equivalent was not happy a tax was created in order to make us give money to it each time we bought a CD, DVD, HDD or etc.
Now we don't have the right to make private copies 90% of the time but we keep paying this tax :s

    That tax thing sucks...

And I figured the 24 hour thing was bull...

About the Wi Fi I'm pretty sure I've never seen that problem presented... Anywhere but here. Might be like irecinius said they might just be trying to keep it on the down-low so people don't start a wasted crazy panic over it...

Oh well, that flaw only helps me...

You have to dl and install the DivX Web Player to use that sight. And it installs spyware/adware at the same time. Not worth it.

I'm not surprised about a 9yr old downloading stuff. Little kids aren't that innocent. I know too many not-too-innocent 9 yr old young ins.

Man that is stupid, I am just glad I have not received any of those letters, then again I no longer download most of the mainstream series. XD They have Darker Than Black listed I am willing to bet that hooked a lot of downloaders. I would be screwed if the got HSDK considering that is one of the five series I watch now. I am just glad that it is anime, not manga.

On another note it would seem to be all bittorrent too, I am glad I stopped using it.
Some people may want to see this, if they don't look at wiki. I assume SingNet means Singapore? Which is where Odex is based, I could be wrong but it does not seem to be major just yet.
However, general opinion holds that ISPs like SingNet, etc. were responsible for the disclosure of personal information. It is also believed that due to its poor sales, Odex has to resort to legal actions for revenue, as there is a large number of people who obtain anime online via torrents, whom at the same time due to the transparency of ISPs like Singnet, make easily legal targets for Odex.

Yes thats a Singapore newspaper and downloading licenced manga is also probably illegal. For those of you who download alot of both manga and anime which one looks more popular? I only hear about people going after people who download or post online copyrighted animes and videos not so much manga.
