    On the plus side, it's free advertising for 4chan.

    Now, here's the scary thing: normally, when the news plays, you assume they did their research and have some clue what the hell they're talking about, or at least that the guy who wrote the story the news anchor is reading to you does. But if they can't even do their research for a simple story like this, where all it takes for your research is a couple dozen hours of reading (*insert lurkmoar joke here*), in English nontheless, should we really trust the news to get stuff right that's happening in foreign countries?

    Not really, that's what the lolcats thread is about...though most people seemed to be missing the point.
