That's completely different because for hunters it's not the kill or the act of harming the animal that brings pleasure.

Really? If they killed animals for the fun of shooting, why wouldn't they just go to the shooting range? No, its the actual act of harming the animal or seeing it drop that excites the hunter.

And why did they burn a cat in the first place? Because they got a kick out of hurting the innocent. Don't you think that there is a potential danger inherent in people who think that it's pleasant to hurt other creatures?

I do think there is a potential danger if the person actually thought of animals as living breathing organisms. But if the person though of animals as toys for humans like recreational hunters, then I wouldn't hold their crimes against animals as applicable to humans. Nevertheless, the burning was a disgusting act. Only, I'm not sure you could punish her further than heavy fining.

No, it's the thrill of the hunt that drives them, not the kill in itself. That's another vestigal instinct that we have.

A minority probably does hunt because they like to hurt other beings. That kind of people are sadists as well.

And what guarantees do we have that they make this clear distinction between man and animal?

The problem here is that you expect sociopaths to act rationally. Some of them may follow societal norms because thay fear to be punished. Others act out their urges and kill or hurt people.

Where did this come from? I never said anything about expecting sociopaths to act rationally or sociopathy at all. I don't think the girls are sociopaths either. They're just retarded sadists.

Wow. A really fucked up thought entered my head there; cats don't burn evenly.

But I'm not completely heart-less. I want those girls to be tested. Cause if they can do it to a cat for kicks......I think maybe children would be the next step.

Also, that cat looks pissed off in every photo. I love that cat and wish him some toys and rodents.
