I think that SD, with supporting, meant doing so blindly. Americans (at least most, or some of them) support the war on terror, but the video that SD posted depicts one of the things that is actually happening. It's not as if SD meant that Americans support abuse on the Iraqis.

Special Forces wouldn't wear a "Special Forces" shirt.
A special forces guy wouldn't work in a prison.
According to reports, the CIA didn't have almost any involvement. And that is the scary part. The soldiers were pretty much told to "be creative" without any training, and just did torturing stuff they saw on TV. Which, in many ways, is worse than the CIA teaching them things, but the fact remains that if the guy said it was CIA, it means this video is almost certainly fake, and they are just idiots trying to cause propoganda.

Ok. I don't think this is fake. You never see the full title on the shirt all you see at best is "US SPE", if it did say special forces and special forces dont wear special forces shirts or work in prisons then it makes sense. If hes not special forces then he worked in the prison. And considering the magnitude of this operation, the CIA, as the number 1 (or 2, i dunno if the NSA is bigger) foreign operations bureau should be in deep on this gathering intelligence and such. I seriously doubt theres no CIA stuff going on in Iraq.

I would say exactly what you are saying. I should point out that I am not, and never was, for the war(though I could accept the reasoning, I am against it on principle as I am an isolationist). I just think, personally, that it is some rabid against-war person trying to make soldiers seem like monsters. I am fine with people being against the war, but take it out on the administration, leave the soldiers themselves out of it.

Well I just have a problem against the war not the troops. I feel bad for them that they have to go fight a war that was not supposed to be fought in the first place.
