    Default Oh God...

    http://thinkprogress.org/2007/07/12/...in-the-senate/

Christian right disrupts first Hindu prayer in the Senate.

For the first time in history, a Hindu today delivered the Senate’s morning invocation. But three protestors belonging to the Christian Right anti-abortion group Operation Save America loudly interrupted the invocation, stating, “Lord Jesus, forgive us father for allowing a prayer of the wicked, which is an abomination in your sight.”
It may be a cultural thing, but fundamentalism ideologies and ethnocentrism is something I'll never be able to stand. Despite one's beliefs, that was a total lack of respect.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO HOLD RELIGIOUS DEBATES, PLEASE DO NOT GO AGAINST OTHER PEOPLE'S BELIEFS, NOR INSULT PEOPLE FROM OTHER CULTURES, OR OTHER CULTURES PER SE.

What do you expect? No, really. What did they think was going to happen?

They were in the Senate, the least I would have expected from that people was respect, even towards another culture.

... SECULAR FUCKING GOVERNMENT... and this thread is not going to work without a religious discussion. Those protesters should have been punished for violating the First Amendment.

Edit: Lol @ the term "christofascists"

I'm not gonna touch this stuff, I can't trust myself. But I think y'all know how I stand on this. Just remember, no religious debates also means no trolling of Christians.

Huh... sucks, maybe Martyr or CPR will entertain this threads topic. I dunno but what they did is the very definition of Anti-American.

I asked for no religious debates because I was sure that there was a rule against them, but I cannot find that rule anymore. Discuss about religion if your must, but if cpr, kaze or jyuu say that you cannot, you should stop. And as Jakko said, flaming other's cultures is against the rules.

My doubt lies to the three extremist Christians. Is it a conspiracy to taint the name of Christianity?
    Or
Since America is to trust in One God, why invite Hindu preacher when all three religion believe Hinduism as an abomination?

There are just as many christian assholes in USA, as there are islamist assholes in the middle-east.
No wonder they are in war with each other.
