Dammit, I fricking hate when christians do this.
Don't they realize that it does nothing but give you a bad name? They aren't helping the situation at all, and the media is out to make us look bad in the first place...
    Arrggggg...

Wow. That was really rude of them. I clicked the youtube link.

    But you know what?

From a Christian standpoint, I'm cheering and saying "YOU ROCK!" That's a really bold thing they did. They could easily lose their high position jobs that has been providing them huge financial securities all by proclaiming their faith in Jesus. And, that's a risk that I don't know if I would have ever taken.

I think those were people in the stands above the Senate, you know, the free area where people visit.

    Awwww. What a shame.

Still.. that was a mighty bold and rude thing to do. I commend them for their statement. I think it's better for Christians to protest something then to sit timidly in the background if something is happening that we don't agree with. It's definitely not the best publicity that Christians could ever dream for, but it does send a message right to the office of power, the Senate. Plus, it was done non-violently. =D

What was it? I'm still not quite getting this.

I don't support prayers as part of government ritual (it detracts from both the purpose of the religion and that of the government), though I suppose it's still relatively "normal", unlike those weird sounds that the British parliament makes, or the regular fights that the Taiwanese parliament goes through.

I'm christian as well, but I prefer the lead by example. Today with christians their is too much protesting stuff, and not enough actual walking. If we take too much time worrying and "judging" other peoples traditions, we forget what we are supposed to do, love our neighbor. Calling another person a spawn of satan, their going to hell, or whatever is enforcing our religion to people that don't want it to be enforced upon them. Christianity is already dying in America, and the media is helping destroy it. I'm not saying conform to the world, but to stop giving them a reason to hate us. All the christians had to do in that senate was keep quiet and refuse to prayer, but making that kind of fuss and drawing attention to themselves is not only rude, but giving other christians everywhere a bad image.
