Thread: I want to live in either canada or UK/Europe...

Honestly three words convinced me "free health care". I am seeing the movie Sicko by Micheal Moore yeah his opinion is biast, but I mean c'mon! Studies show the british live longer then americans.

Yeah, I'm from germany and one of the best things here is that if you get ever sick, unemployed, have any problems... society helps you.
And the school education and universities are free.

I want to move after my graduation for sure, but not to the US.
In my list are England (London), Canada (Toronto), Singapoor, Japan... such things.

The one thing that I hate the most in the US is the fact that every idiot has a gun and can shoot you everywhere on the street for nothing.
Thats why I would rather move to Canada because its mostly like USA but just friendlier.

I wonder if epic portions of fast food leading to obesity have anything to do with americans living shorter....but still, the studies are only showing that the british live longer than americans on an average. Just eat healthy, it's not like america has only fast food. Obviously a large amount of americans dying at a younger age is going to bring down the average as a whole.

snow ain't so great after you get used to it. but like, there's not much snow in Toronto lately... probably global warming and humans messing up the earth.

wait....you don't have welfare for unemployed people? I knew about the health care thing though here if mainly only applies to a few people who qualify.

england isn't that great for health care, as english people tend to come in France to be healed quicker and cheaper :P

@360degrees : there are fast foods in europe too, so it cannot be the only excuse for obesity

McDonald is everywhere - you can't hide from it (Burger King isn't so popular in my country - KFC and Pizza Hut is quite common).

Meh, people in the states believe that you should work hard and make your own money and not get free rides from the government, which cause laziness.

Yeah. Especially those five year old and people with terminal illnesses. Oh wait, they can't.
