Just as I said... like America but friendlier, less guns and less mofos who try to pick you up.

And thats why America fails in terms of healthcare, or every social security system that exists (or not exists in USA)...

i think canada as just as much guns, or not far from the US anyway... they just not fire mindlessly and for no reason

@cooler : it is so easy to say when you don't have problems and egoistically look only at your own little world, but anyway i fail to see why being generous and sharing your wealth is idiotic.

No, way I'd believe Canada has as many guns as the US. The US, is way to fond of making guns, and every American has a gun.

    I second this.

And not because of "egotystically only looking at [my] own little world," but because you have higher quality healthcare when it is privatized. The doctors are better, the equipment is better, and everything is just done more effieciently. Think about it. The government always nickle and dimes, cuts corners, and takes way too long. You wanna trust you health to that kind of incompetence?

And if someone is not able to afford their service(as you said, the poor), there are always local and church charities that help with this, as well as the fact that university hospitals cover those costs for those that can't pay.

Also, Canada has less guns than the US. That is because the idiots banned them, and took them away from private citizens, leaving only the government(which only a fool trusts) and criminals(which only a greater fool trusts) with weapons. Smart folks.

@neruke - Funny you should say that, since haven't four of the last five large scale school shootings happened in little old Germany(and the other happened at VT, where the students were not allowed to carry weapons to defend themselves). And come to think about it, in the 17 and 18 hundreds, when most people had guns, how common was school shootings/random massacre's? Not at all. Seems to me that having guns deters crime(since, afterall, no lawbreaker knows who else is packing).

well, i am not sure if it was in bowling for columbine (or another movie by the same guy), but it was said that the number of firearms couldn't explain the number of killings in america as canadians had a lot of firearms too and there are not much killings there...

i don't remember french hospitals to be non efficient and badly equipped.... on the other hand i remember english people among others trying hard to come in France to be hospitalized, I wonder why ^^"
sure enough, there are clinics (not all of them) that are better if you really have a LOT of money, but it isn't a reason to downgrade public hospitals.

The same things could be said for schools : why having free public schools if some private ones are better ? too bad for those who can't enter them i guess..

I just noticed this but Jakko, 98, and I have just agreed on something. That is scary.
