Hi everybody there is a question that I always ask myself, why do we dream? …. We dreams when we are asleep and awake….. However, the daydreams "when we are awake we can control, and usually we dream of what we want or wish to have…. On the other hand, asleep dreams are totally out of control…..Sometime we have nightmares and we hardly have beautiful dreams that we wish we would not wake up …..However, still I did not get the answer why we have daydreams in our lives.
….. Is it because we can not have what we have dreamed about in real life, so we try to find another way to confess ourselves that we can do it? .... Or is it because we are failures? … If we think about it, and ask yourself how many times have you said I wish or I hope? …. Finally, can not we have the power that makes our dreams come true?

imo, dreams are just our mind processing/combining/recombining large amounts of information from our experiences. the ones that actually make some sort of sense are remembered when we wake up.

daydreams are not really considered dreams - those are more similar to thinking up a story.
