Well Boo-fucking-hoo. These guys are a bunch of idiots who pose a clear danger to others. It's just and proper that they are punished for it.

Psht. You're more likely to get killed by some asshole on his cellphone than a dude in a 350 hp Civic. At least ONE of them is paying attention to the road.

So according to you irresponsible driving isn't that bad as long as others drive even more irresponsibly. Yeah, brilliant logic there.

The ones who actually take streetracing seriously don't drive irresponsibly, they actually drive better than most people, and wont gun it unless it's safe. Its just those fast and the furious wanna-be losers that ruin their reputation. Also those that are DUI and get pulled into racing.

Resposible driving becomes impossible once you start driving really fast, because the human brain simply can't react fast enough. That's why racing should be confined to controlled roads or tracks, not just any city street.

Driving as responsibly as possible. The street ahead of them empty, not swerving around cars, only racing long enough to decide the victor and not prolonging it. Things like that are being done by the people who enjoy the sport as a hobby and not just to be "cool".

In addition, tracks are fine, but not everyone lives nearby one and sometimes have to travel up to an hour to get to one. Then there is a fee to get in, regulations and restrictions for your car, and many other technical things you go through while at the track.

if u do it when there's ppl on the road then yeah...it's dumb and dangerous, but they usually only do it when there's no one on the road.

You missed my point completely. I was saying why crush their cars when there are tons more dangerous people on the road, but I can see that you're probably one of those people that goes 34 mph in the 35 mph lane so I won't even press the issue.

Although its kinda good they are trying to save lives using this, the amount of people who die are next to nothing ~_~ They should start cracking down on smokers and druggies... thats were the real deaths are.

I just wanna know, how is a person racing on the street ever being a responsible driver?

I used to speed on the streets and highways myself, but I'm not going to try and defend myself...it's irresponsible any way you look at it. >_>
