You could turn this around too, you could say if we don't pray once a day, then aliens will come and kill us all. According to his argument we would have to pray now, even when it's stupid. So it's all about the weight you give to each box, and this weight is pretty subjective -> :/

A few hundred billion dollars is pocket change compared to mass human-crab impregnation. The cost benefit analysis is the same. Both columns have downsides, but the Column B. nothing, is far worse.
