Thats really cool, I've been wondering if it was possible for a while now. Lets hope Murphy's law is in full effect!
They say its harmless, but I still don't like the idea of a device pumping out lots of electromagnetic radiation. Also, I'm guessing that even if they were to increase its efficiency to 100%, it would still require more electricity than a regular power suply. And since we a re possibly already facing a future energy crisis, I'm not sure if increasing power usage is a good thing (especially since the world already wastes so much energy).
^ yeah, it said only 40-45% efficient....not too great imo. Needs to be more like 85% to see market use imho.
Actually, since it got to work with magnetic fields, you can easily go over 100% effiency, since you're able to run 5 lamps at 40% = 200%. I would like to know how exactly this thing works, because if it is able to induce power into unmoving / non-special stuff, then wouldn't induce power into every conductor in range, causing quite some troubles?
I don't think that those magnetic fields aren't fully harmless
Having something like this in my home would freak me out.
Uh...
Magnetic fields are absolutely harmless to organics.
Else you'd be dead.
Now, shut up bout shit you know not.
its not 100% harmless, some people are affected by it...
