    Default British National day

Now correct me if I'm wrong...but wasn't that supposed to be St. Georges day? At least that's for England. St. Patrick's for Ireland and I'm culturally inadequate in naming Scotland and Wales'.

St. David's day for wales, not sure about Scotland. Thing its all those days are separate, this would be a day to celebrate all of Britain. But uh, yeah, even I laughed at this one, fact is its just an excuse for another bank holiday. And I thought it was America that held the stereotype for using any lame to create a public holiday.

WTH ? in France the government suppresses public holidays one by one, and in the UK they are thinking of adding more holidays ?

If it was not for the weather and the natives, i would consider crossing the channel

And the football hooligans, and all the drunk youths spilling out of the nightclubs at 1AM.

Yep, as far as I know, they close at 3AM. I wouldn't know though, I don't go to nightclubs.
