Thread: ipods ?

I like the Zune.

The screen is gorgeous, but I am waiting for the Halo 3 edition to get my hands on one.

anyone experience problems with their ipod?

i have the 4th generation one (20gb) with the click wheel. i think there's a problem with the hard drive because whenever i turn it on, you can hear some kind of click and whirring noise and then it dies down. the cycle then repeats. eventually i'll see a sad ipod face or a folder icon and then the ipod shuts down.

anyone come across this? and how did you fix it? i'm out of warranty

i remember this one online site that had offered ipod repair service. what made them unique from the other repair services out there was that they had lifetime warranty, meaning if your ipod broke again, they would fix it for free!

Mine does that too.

If the battery is actually charged, it goes to normal.

If not, it dies.

i've been trying to do some research online and it seems that the cause is a damaged hard drive
