Despite being a hard drive whore (I go through a 500GB one in a month) and needing at least six hard drives in my primary computer, a full-tower is annoyingly bulky.
    Get an Antec P182SE.
    Thermaltake sucks. =D

    Ohmy.
I have no clue what people are talking about.
It took me about 6 minutes to figure out what you were referring to as the 'tower'... =

i think akofc misunderstood it too, though he thought of again another meaning

As for the tower, i only have a laptop ATM but when i will have enough money to buy myself a new PC I'll definitely put more importance on the tower than for my first PC, as it is really important for noise and cooling issues...
I guess i'll choose something massive enough (middle or full tower, with enough weight to not shake like my old one), but i have not decided as for the cooling... :
=> should I insulate my case and put a powerful cooling system outside (far enough)
=> or should I choose a case with as many overtures as possible, with 12' fans which would turn at a slow pace ?

The 2nd solution seems to be the best ATM, but i'm not sure...

PS : I don't know if it is easily doable, but i'd like to underclock as much things as possible so it doesn't heat up too much, and when i'll need more power i'd like to put it back to normal easily (it would be a problem to have to reboot to go to the bios to do that)

I honestly wouldn't be suprised if you had a 10TB file server in a chilled room in your house.

Granted, I agree that the Antec P182 will probably be amazing, seeing as how quiet the Antec P180 is, however:

If you buy the Silverstone TJ-09, and replace the five stock fans given with Silverstone FM-121 fans(they are better, and quieter, than the FM-122 and FM-123), then get a Silverstone NT06-Lite CPU cooler and screw on another FM-121, then the case would likely be very(relatively) quiet, and have amazing, super special awesome cooling. Maybe add some rubber screws, rubber fan screws, a fan controller, maybe a hard drive suspender(like this:http://www.frozencpu.com/products/30...?tl=g7c113s209 ), and you got yourself one sweet piece of case.

P.S. - Hey Jyuu, remember when I sent you that picture 98 posted via PM? =p

I agree with jyuu, and I am also an Antec fan. I also don't believe in LED and disconnect all superfluous lights because I swear they are out to blind me.

i has a bookmark with the best cases silence-wise, but i can't find it anymore
For you, it is Silverstone which makes the best fans nowadays ? a fan controller seems to be a good idea, though it will depend on its price if i take one or not ^^"

I'd like to make myself a case in wood, though i doubt i will be able to make a cool one, let alone one which is usable lol

@CoS : I hate them too ! The case is not supposed to be the center of our attention, and on the contrary should be as invisible/quiet as possible ^^

You can get a really good Vantec Nexus for under $30.
    That's like dirt cheap.
